The multifunctional extraction tank is a widely used equipment, mainly used for the extraction, separation and purification of drugs, chemicals and other substances. The following is the operating procedures of the multifunctional extraction tank, which details the operating steps, safety precautions and equipment maintenance requirements.

The multifunctional extraction tank is a common leaching and extraction equipment in the field of pharmaceutical chemicals. It can be used for water extraction, alcohol extraction, volatile oil extraction of medicinal materials, and can recover solvents in drug residues. In addition, it can also be used for various percolation processes such as percolation, warm immersion reflux, circulating immersion, pressurized or decompressed leaching. There are three main extraction methods for multifunctional extraction tanks:

1. Water extraction: After heating to boiling in the tank, keep boiling in the tank. The time is determined by the extract. After the steam gas cools, it returns to the tank to maintain circulation and temperature.

2. Alcohol extraction: Change alcohol as the main solvent, so that the rising vapor alcohol condenses and then flows back into liquid. Forced circulation can be used to improve the extraction efficiency.

3. Oil extraction: Chinese medicine containing volatile oil and water are used, and the separator is used to separate them by heating and cooling.

Heating form: Jacket heating is used, but there is no heat source at the bottom, which may form a heating dead corner.

Extraction efficiency: Due to the static heating method, the bottom heating dead corner may cause uneven extraction of the bottom medicinal materials, affecting the extraction efficiency.

Slag and liquid discharge: Due to equipment structure problems, liquid and slag discharge are relatively difficult, and manual assistance may be required, increasing labor intensity.

Operation safety: It may be difficult to control the secondary steam flow after the jacket is heated and boiled, and there are safety hazards.

Features of cone-free and mushroom-type multifunctional extraction tanks

Heating form: jacket heating, bottom heating, solves the problem of micro-boiling being difficult to control.

Extraction efficiency: The heat source at the bottom solves the heating dead corner, improves the extraction rate of medicinal materials at the bottom, and changes the form of the liquid inlet circulation port to improve the extraction efficiency.

Slag and liquid discharge: The installation of a central drum at the bottom increases the heating and liquid discharge area, making the liquid and slag discharge smoother and reducing labor intensity.

Operational safety: The jacket and bottom heating have different divisions of labor, and the use of the bottom to maintain the micro-boiling state of extraction reduces the secondary steam flow and improves safety.

Installation space: This structure equipment occupies a relatively large space.

Structural composition of the multifunctional extraction tank

Main tank: divided into inner tank, interlayer and outer insulation layer, which can be used for medicinal materials and coal dissolution, and provide interlayer heating and outer insulation functions.

Foam catcher: connected to the main tank, mainly used to eliminate the foam generated during decoction and prevent the slag from entering the condenser

Condenser: condense the medicinal liquid vapor and return it to the main tank as coal dissolution.

Cooler: cool the condensed medicinal liquid.

Oil-water separator: When extracting oil, the recovered liquid is separated from the oil and water to obtain the required aromatic oil.

The working principle of the extraction tank is a simple decoction process. The Chinese herbal medicine is soaked in water and heated by steam. After a certain period of time, the effective ingredients are extracted. The length of the decoction time is determined by the performance of different materials. The amount of feed cannot be uniformly stipulated due to the different shapes of Chinese herbal medicines and the difficulty of extracting effective ingredients. It is recommended that the amount of feed should not exceed two-thirds of the equipment volume.

 

Multifunctional extraction tank operation procedures

Preparation before operation

1. Check the equipment status of the multifunctional extraction tank to ensure that the equipment is intact.

2. Prepare the required extractant, solvent and material to be extracted, and mark them.

3. Ensure that the operation area is clean and tidy, and place the required operating tools and equipment.

4. Wear personal protective equipment, including protective glasses, protective gloves and protective clothing.

2. Operation steps

1. Turn on the exhaust equipment and ultraviolet lamp of the multifunctional extraction tank to ensure that the operation area is well ventilated.

2. Open the top cover of the extraction tank, put the material to be extracted into the extraction tank, and add an appropriate amount of extractant or solvent according to the formula

3. Close the top cover of the extraction tank and ensure that it is well sealed.

4. Turn on the heating device of the extraction tank to heat the material in the tank to the set temperature.

5. Turn on the stirring device and adjust the stirring speed as needed.

6. During the extraction process, observe the temperature and pressure changes in the tank in time to ensure safe operation.

7. Perform the extraction operation for the required time according to the requirements of the extraction.

8. After the extraction is completed, turn off the heating device and stirring device.

9. Open the discharge valve of the extraction tank and transfer the extracted material to the target container.

10. Close the discharge valve of the extraction tank and clean and disinfect it.
